A Kaiju Big Battel: Fighto Fantasy Timeline

Kaiju Big Battel: Fighto Fantasy was originally proposed in 2014 and I was planning on building the whole thing myself. The project was sidelined when my dad became very sick and then next couple of years were spent helping him and mourning.

Development began in earnest in March 2016; after a couple of other artists fell through, I began working with Soda Piggy. This is one of the first screens he ever put together, showing a proof of concept of the game's battle visuals.

In April 2016 I was part of a Kaiju Big Battel  panel at PAX East, showing the game to the public for the first time in the form of a playable demo of an early prototype of the Rome timezone.

In September 2017, we launched a playable demo at Twitchcon. This was a standalone demo telling a mini, alternate version of the main game's story. Studio Kaiju built a prop arcade machine with art by Soda Piggy for the Twitchcon event.

In November 2017, an updated version of the demo was publicly released on Steam. The full game was planned for release in 2017, but was delayed for an abundance of reasons.

Finally, on Halloween of 2018, the finished game was released, thanks to some late-game graphics assists by Fortis. I'd take a little time off after fixing some post-release bugs, and then begin work on Walthros: Renewal in April 2019.
